Installing your software

Most computers with pre-installed Windows 95 already have Internet Software. Look for an icon of a globe on your desk top. If there isn't one, click your start button, go to programs, then accessories, and look for Internet tools. If you don't have "Internet tools" listed under accessories, chances are your computer does not have the software pre-installed.

B. Click next and choose "Manual" for setup option and click next.
C. Click next and choose "Connect using my phone line".
D. Click next. You may be prompted to insert your Windows 95 setup disks or CD-ROM. Follow the instructions on your screen.

L. FINISHED!! Click Finish.
M. You may be prompted to restart your computer. After it restarts, it may take a while for your system to update the system files. Don't be alarmed by this it shouldn't take this long the next time you restart your computer.

If you encounter problems making an Internet connection check all of the connections between your computer, modem, and telephone line. Make sure all elements have power. If problems persist, see "Troubleshooting" later in this section.

After you run the Internet Connection Wizard, you're ready to start browsing the Web! Just double-click the Internet icon on your desktop, or if the Explorer is already running, click any of the hyperlinks (pictures or underlined text that cause your mouse pointer to change into a hand) on the page.
